What should I tell my team or customers when gathering sizes for a group order?

Edited

If you’re collecting sizes for a group, the best approach is to keep things simple and give everyone the tools they need to choose confidently. Here’s what we recommend sharing with your team:

1. Send them the sizing chart for the garment you’re ordering:
Every item has its own measurements, and sharing the sizing chart upfront eliminates most of the guesswork. Sizing charts for each product are available on the product's webpage on our website. Include a link to our “How to Measure” guide so everyone knows exactly how to compare chest width and body length measurements properly.

2. Encourage anyone with questions to measure a shirt or hoodie they already own:
Measuring a well-fitting garment at home (chest width + body length) is far more reliable than guessing. This is can especially important when working with certain retail brands that fit differently than normal.

3. Ask about preferred fit:
Some people prefer a fitted look, others want relaxed or oversized. Noting fit preference ensures the final garment feels right, not too tight, not too baggy.

4. Consider shrinkage:
If the garment is cotton-heavy or likely to be machine-dried in high heat setting, recommend sizing up. Most cotton garments shrink 3–5% over their lifetime, and planning for that keeps everyone comfortable long-term.

5. Order a small size-run of blanks if sizing has been a challenge in the past:
If your group has struggled with sizing in the past, or if accuracy is extra important (corporate uniforms, teams, staff apparel), we can pre-order a small batch of blank garments. Everyone can try them on, return them, and those same blanks can be decorated with your final order and credited back on your invoice.

Following these steps keeps group orders stress-free and ensures everyone gets a garment they’re excited to wear.
