What types of garments can be printed with DFT?

Edited

DFT (Direct-Film-Transfer) is one of the most versatile printing methods available, it works on nearly all common apparel fabrics, including cotton, polyester, canvas, fleece, and blended materials. It also performs well on materials that can be challenging for screen printing, such as triblends and lightweight fabrics. The only limitation is typically water resistant treated fabrics like some nylon or polyester jacket shells.

The main requirement is a flat print area, since DFT relies on consistent heat and pressure to transfer properly. We can’t print over seams, zippers, or heavy texture, as that would prevent the transfer from bonding evenly. Our team reviews every product before production to confirm it’s suitable for DFT, and if it’s not, we’ll suggest an alternative decoration method that will produce the best final result.
