Can embroidery be done on stretchy or performance fabrics?

Edited

It can, but with limitations. Stretchy or lightweight performance fabrics (like moisture-wicking athletic shirts) can pucker or distort under the pressure of embroidery needles and tight stitching. To reduce that risk, we use stabilizers behind the fabric and adjust our tension settings. Still, even with the best setup, some distortion can occur depending on the shape and density of the logo.

For logos on performance garments, we often recommend using digital printing instead. These alternatives maintain the same branding while preserving the flexibility of the fabric. For lightweight t-shirts, polos and other items, our team will often suggest print over embroidery when reviewing the order's details. If embroidery is a must, we’ll work carefully to balance tension, stabilizer type, and logo placement for the cleanest finish possible.
