Can you match an embroidery design I had done elsewhere?

Edited

In most cases, yes. If you’ve had embroidery done before with another provider, we can usually match the size, placement, and overall appearance closely to your previous design. Every embroidery shop uses slightly different machines, thread brands, and digitizing styles, so an exact one-to-one match isn’t always possible, but we’ll aim to ensure it is as close as possible to your older embroidered garments.

The best results come if you can provide the original .DST or .EMB embroidery file from your previous shop. Most embroidery companies can share this file if you ask for it, and it ensures perfect continuity in stitch direction and density. If that’s not available and an exact match to your older pieces is a priority, providing a physical sample is the next best option. Having the original garment lets us accurately compare thread colours, textures, and stitch patterns for the most precise reproduction.

Different embroidery shops also use different thread brands, so there can be minor variations in tone or sheen. We’ll review your existing piece and match the thread colours from our library as closely as possible to maintain consistency. Once your new version is digitized and approved, we can easily reproduce it for future reorders with the same high-quality results.
