Why is there a minimum order for screen printing?
Each screen printed design requires a unique stencil (or “screen”) for every colour, and those screens take time and care to prepare correctly for best results. The setup and labour involved for preparing and burning a screen are the same whether we print one shirt or one thousand, so having a minimum helps keep your price per piece fair and cost-effective.
Our minimum of 24 units per design strikes the right balance, it allows us to offer competitive pricing while maintaining the level of quality our customers expect. This quantity makes screen printing efficient without compromising craftsmanship or affordability.
We use an advanced computer-to-screen imaging system, which ensures pinpoint accuracy and consistent results during setup. This technology gives your prints a professional, retail-grade finish while minimizing error and improving detail sharpness.
For smaller runs or test batches, we often recommend DFT (direct-film-transfer) printing, which has no setup requirement and is perfect for shorter orders.
