What types of garments can be screen printed?
Screen printing works best on garments with a flat, even surface, such as t-shirts, hoodies, hoodies or crewneck sweatshirts. The flatter the print area, the cleaner and more consistent the result will be.
We can print on most cotton and cotton-blend or triblend fabrics, as well as some polyester blends and fleece. However, we can’t print effectively on nylon or certain coated or textured fabrics, since the ink doesn’t adhere properly to those materials. Similarly, garments with zippers, seams, or thick stitching in the print area aren’t suitable, as these raised surfaces can interfere with ink coverage.
All prints also need to fit within the printable area of our machine platen, so the design must be located on a section of the garment that can lay completely flat during printing. If you’re unsure whether your chosen garment will work for screen printing, our expert team will review it and recommend the best print location or alternative decoration method to ensure top-quality results.
